Don’t make life too easy for your child
Loving your child doesn’t mean removing every difficulty. Children who are allowed to try, fail and try again grow up confident and capable.
Small ways to build resilience
- Let them do age-appropriate tasks themselves — dressing, tidying, simple chores.
- Allow them to solve small problems before stepping in.
- Praise effort, not just success.
The goal is not a hard childhood, but a confident child who knows they can cope.
